Forecastle (Foc'sle)

In the US Navy, the Forecastle is where they stow the chain for the anchors. This is a very active and important part of the ship, because below the forecastle is where sailors bunks are usually found. In our unit, the forecastle is where sea cadets get to be themselves and work together as shipmates, helping each other learn the tasks given to them by instructors. Here you will find links to the POD (Plan of the Day), the UOD (Uniform of the Day) and other important things sea cadets need to know to help them as they navigate their course in life.

Haircut Regulations

You guessed it! Haircuts are to be within military regulation. They need to be 1" on the sides (#1 blade) and less than 2 inches around the top (#2 blade).
