Sea Cadets
LoriBeth Bykerk, RN/BSN

Commanding Officer

Hi there and welcome aboard!  I'm the CO of this unit and am referred to as "Skipper" by cadets and staff.  I've been involved with the USNSCC/USNLCC for several years and have come to cherish the opportunity to transfer what I have learned in my life to the young minds that want to excel and succeed in their own lives.  I have an open door policy, so feel free to contact me to talk and find out what we can do together to help you sail towards your goals!

Welcome aboard, Shipmate!  Having served for over 20 years in the Fire Service I stand ready and able to help you learn how to become a better person and give you the "cool" tools you'll need to perform your duties as you move through your life.  It's my job to keep you on course and make sure you're "Doing it Right!"  Come join with me and have some fun learning some cool stuff!

Instructors
Nicholas Wheeler

Executive Officer

Instructors for the unit are provided by USNSCC/USNLCC units throughout Arizona and are supplemented by NJROTC programs, cadet volunteers and other volunteer instructors from the US Navy, US Coast Guard and other branches of the military.  Instructors are passionate about helping the kids grow and learn so they get a sense of accomplishment and camaderie while serving with our unit.  Having purpose and direction will steer them towards making wise, responsible decisions as they prepare to enter adulthood.

Auxillary Members come from all walks of life and different career fields.  Our unit takes advantage of professionals willing to give of their time and availability to help our cadets gain real life education for things they'll need to know to advance in their careers and personal life.  Parents that want to be involved but don't want to have the committment it takes to be an instructor become Auxillary Members, able to work with the unit and help out as needed without having to wear a uniform or have military experience.
